We are proud to use the U.S. FDA-approved LIBBE colon hydrotherapy open system that effectively and safely cleanses the colon (large intestine) of waste and toxins.

 

The procedure involves a soothing flow of purified, temperature-regulated water, instilled gently into the colon. As the water gently circulates, it stimulates the colon’s natural peristaltic action of the muscles of the colon and provides an excellent workout for the colon.

Why Do People Receive Colon Hydrotherapy?

 

•Athletes have opted for colon therapy to improve metabolic efficiency.
•Many receive the treatments during a period of lifestyle change or as a preventive measure.
•Another group manifests symptoms of intestinal distress; constipation (some from prescription drugs), carbohydrate indigestion, diarrhea, gas, bloat, hemorrhoids, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, diverticulitis, colitis, parasites, skin conditions such as psoriasis, shingles, and eczema, inability to lose weight, and scar tissue and adhesions from surgery.
•Another group is pain motived; abdominal pain, continuous headaches and migraines, back or shoulder pain, aching joints, gout.
•A number of clients are immune-compromised with lupus, MS, rheumatoid arthritis, arthritis, cancer, chronic fatigue, Epstein-Barre, candida, infections, colds or influenza.
•Colon hydrotherapy sessions are used for medical reasons: pre- and post-surgery or barium x-ray, stool samples, and geriatric.
•A number come in during a fast, a cleansing program, a raw food diet, a liver and /or gallbladder flush, or recovering from an accident.
•Some are working on emotional issues which they feel are physiologically rooted in their intestines.

What Will Colonics Do For The Colon?
Benefits Of Colon Hydrotherapy

​Before A Colonic Session

• Do not eat anything 2 hours prior to your session, and eat lightly on that day.
• Drink plenty of water the day prior and day of your appointment.
•Avoid gas-forming foods the previous day; beans, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, onions, cucumbers, melons, raw apples, bananas, or anything else that may give you gas.
•Abstaining from wheat and dairy for a few days can also be quite beneficial.
•Minimize caffeine, processed foods, alcohol, sugar, bread and fruit juice. Raw vegetable juice is more suitable than fruit juice.
•Eat lots of fresh vegetables, a little fruit and white meat, if required. Avoid red meat for 24 hours prior to colonic, if possible.

After a Colonic Session
•Drink plenty of water to keep the toxins flushing from your body.
•Avoid gas forming foods for 2 days.
•Eat more colon-friendly foods such as salads, vegetables, fruit (no bananas), juices, soups, fish, chicken, beets and carrot juice are very beneficial. Avoid eating raw vegetables 4-6 hours after a colonic.
•Avoid heavy meat consumption (beef and pork) for 8-12 hours. Chicken and fish is best.
•Avoid mucous forming foods such as dairy.
•Avoid strenuous exercise that day.
•Most people experience a feeling of lightness and more energy after their treatment.
•Remember to continue to drink lots of water, at least 2.5 – 3 litres and continue your usual exercise routine. You will soon start to feel a difference.
•For some people bowel movements may not return for 2 or 3 days. This will indicate how long it takes for your food to pass through you (transit time). Transit time is ideally 24 hours.
